50 Years of Fun

Volunteers Needed

Volunteering is vital to making a community program such as FPYC cheer successful!

We believe that we have the opportunity to set an example for our athletes, to use their cheering abilities not only out loud from the sideline, but also to cheer on our community and lead by example.

You can help us set that example by volunteering in one of the many avenues below.

Youth volunteers are eligible to receive service hours and letters of recommendation; and our adult volunteers are eligible to receive some great discounts.

Check out our volunteer positions below, and let us know how you can help!

Cheerleading or gymnastic experience preferred but not required. All coaches are provided training and resources to help you during your season. Attendance to all games is required unless previously arranged with the director or assistant director. We will be giving a discount to parents that sign up and agree to be a Coach for our Fall Season by July 15th.

Assistant Cheer Coach: Assist the cheer coach in the teaching of the cheerleading skills. Again experience is preferred but not required. Must be at least 16 years of age. Attendance to all games is required unless previously arranged with the director or assistant director. Each committee falls under a Director, and has a coordinator and a set of volunteers. As the old saying goes, many hands make light work; so grab a friend and come help out! Most activities are low impact on your time (we know you have lives too!) and several of them can be done while your kid is at practice if you prefer! We provide you all the information, resources, and everything you need to get the job done. Read through the different options, and then let us know what you are interested in by filling out our Volunteer Interest Form. And don’t worry – saying you are interested does NOT lock you in – we’ll chat with you first and make sure this is a good fit for you!
